The FPA Racing Series
FPA Barrel Racing Series starts seventh year in 2010.
All regular shows are on Friday night. Exhibitions start at 6:00 p.m. Books close
promptly at 7:30 p.m. NBHA Rules apply. Must compete in any eight (8) shows to be eligible for year end awards. Call (985) 748-5914 or email us for more information.
Exhibition Information
Exhibitions are $4.00 each and are LIMITED to 100 per show—please
arrive early if you plan to exhibition. a sixty (60) secoond time limit is enforced on ALL

Sign-up for exhibitions will NOT be taken by telephone. All exhibitions must be paid for BEFORE signing
your name on the exhibition registration sheet.
Kiddie Barrel Information
Exhibitions are $4.00 with a $2.00 payback at each show for all entries.
Must be ten (10) years old or under as of January 1, 2010 to qualify. Points will be kept on the
top five (5) placings at each show. All Kiddie Barrel members who have competed in the required
number of shows will receive awards with the highest point-getter receiving the Champions Award.
Membership Information
Membership dues are $25 for single
and $40 for Family. Membership is required to earn points towards awards—must
enter eight (8) shows plus the Final to qualify.
NBHA rules apply. Payout for 5D is as follows; 1D 30%, 2D 25%, 3D 20%, 4D 15%, and
5D 10%. Half second splits. Saddle awarded to year-end champion in each D division.
History of Barrel Series
The Florida Parishes Arena Barrel Racing series began its
inaugural season in August of 2004. The concept behind this successful series is the
brainchild of Amber Oliver Adams, a local barrel racer. Ms. Adams
first suggested the idea of establishing the series as a viable way to generate interest in the new arena among the barrel racing community. The arena was new and bookings were limited.
A buckle series was started and it quickly became very popular
which led to a second season of racing in 2005. Twelve shows later the series was
solidly established and a Kiddie-Barrel series was added to enhance the fun and expand
the participation.
Now in its seventh year, the FPA Barrel Racing series offers locals
and out-of-town visitors the opportunity to enjoy an exciting, competitive event in a
family atmosphere where safety and good clean fun are always a top priority. The series
racers compete one Friday every month and both experienced and novice racers have
a venue in which to hone and improve their skills.
